Layla D. is my public and symbolic name, meaning "night" in languages of Arabic and Hebrew origin. It represents my connection with Eastern cultures through meditation, yoga practice, and the study of astrology. It evokes the silence, listening, and wisdom present in the cycles of nature and the cosmos — elements that permeate my therapeutic, systemic, and symbolic approach.
In 1990, I deepened my studies in the works of Fritjof Capra, a renowned physicist who articulated concepts of physics with Eastern religious and mystical traditions, establishing parallels between these bodies of knowledge. This experience, which culminated in direct study with Capra, laid the foundation for the creation of the SABER HOLÍSTICO Study Group in Brazil.
The group offers a space for deepening the systemic view of life, as developed by Capra — an approach that integrates science, spirituality, and sustainability, and that profoundly inspires my clinical practice.
I also provide individual sessions, combining psychology with astrological symbolism in a practical and non-deterministic way, grounded in Jungian synchronicity and the systemic view of existence.
Astrological symbolism has always been a valuable tool for understanding human behavioral cycles.
In 2023, I was a speaker at CINASTRO — International Online Astrology Congress, being the only non-astrologer speaker to present the integration between astrology and psychology. On that occasion, I shared a pragmatic and integrative view that allows one to understand and apply astrological concepts as tools for self-knowledge and personal transformation, without resorting to determinism or fatalism. A Bit About My
Personal Ecology
My Personal Ecology includes the regular practice of Ashtanga Yoga, caring for my two rabbits, and vegetarianism, which I adopted at age 18 and today is nearly becoming veganism.
I also believe in the protection that a family represents, in gratitude to those who came before — especially my parents and grandparents — and in loving dedication to future generations. These values guide the personal path I walk with presence and intention: to build my own family, nurturing bonds with affection, purpose, and commitment.

I am also an Interior Designer, Writer, and Poet — creative expressions that deeply mark my journey.
I hold a degree in Interior Design from INAP, with several projects published in specialized magazines and participation in important exhibitions, such as the "Twin Girls' Room" at Ponteio Lar Shopping and the ABD — Brazilian Association of Interior Designers booth at the Unilar Fair. For eight years, I was a columnist for the Minas Gerais magazine HABITAT, where I wrote the "Book-Object" column, dedicated to reviews of national and international books on design and architecture.
My authorial work includes over 50 environments published in decoration magazines throughout the country.
In writing, I worked as a columnist for the Estado de Minas newspaper, in the Pensar section, with articles on psychology; and for six years, I was a contracted columnist for Revista Caras, where I signed the "Love" page, dedicated to relationships, with about 40 published original texts.
I also participated as co-author of the book "From Seduction to Marriage" (Caras Publishing), now out of print, and I am the author of:
"Together, Love in Harmony" (Leitura Publishing, out of print);
"18 Senses, Postcard Poems", bilingual (Portuguese/Spanish), with two editions and adopted in schools;
"Embroidery", bilingual book (Portuguese/French), of poems and poetic prose, edition out of print.
